Yesterday was World Ozone day. Didn’t know that was even a thing until Google decided to announce it with a deluge of info early in the morning.

Given my crazy schedule for the day, I joked with the team about doing an article on it and as usual, it fell through the cracks. Running around to start an EV revolution is not easy!

But, the Universe has a funny way of getting in your head.

I’ve crossed this message in Cubbon Park Metro station countless times and yet paid little attention to it… you could’ve put a gun to my head and I wouldn’t have recalled it.

This hurt closer to home. While burning fossil fuel has little impact on ozone depletion, it does hurt our wallets harder, fluctuating and rippling across the economy. Why do we, in this age and time, still depend on fossil fuels - a tech that is as primitive as its name?!

We have cleantech today, that is inexpensive with a positive impact on the environment without having to compromise on the quality of life. We don’t have it on the roads yet, because it’s easier to blame market inertia and customers than change the world.

While world ozone and environment days are a recurring theme to market our espousing of sentiments, what matters is the act of saving the earth by making cleantech available to the masses. Making it an everyday technology
